Come le ho già accennato in altre occasioni, la nostra Parrocchia è una piccola comunità che in questi ultimi anni ha patito le conseguenze della forte secolarizzazione in atto nella nostra società. Una crescente indifferenza religiosa e, in molti casi, un manifesto ateismo hanno causato non solo una grave penuria di vocazioni ma anche una disaffezione alla vita comunitaria nelle parrocchie senza precedenti. Questi sono problemi generali, ma nella nostra parrocchia hanno enormemente ridotto la presenza di fedeli; inoltre, si sono aggiunti i problemi di salute di entrambi i nostri sacerdoti, i fratelli don Giancarlo e don Piergiorgio: la loro azione pastorale ne è risultata compromessa al punto che la crisi parrocchiale è divenuta acuta.

As previously mentioned on other occasions, our parish is a small community which recently suffered consequences from the strong ongoing secularization process in our western societies. A growing religious indifference and, quite often, an open atheism have caused not only a serious lack of vocations but also an unprecedented keen detachment from community life in many parishes. These are problems at large, but in our parish they have greatly reduced the active presence of the faithful. All this, added to the health problems of both our priests, brothers father Giancarlo Nasi and father Piergiorgio Nasi, have strongly compromised their pastoral action to the point that facing such crisis has now become unavoidable.

Per fronteggiare questa situazione, il vescovo, con l'appoggio dei fedeli, ha ritenuto necessario includere Mandriolo in una "unità pastorale" insieme con altre due parrocchie dello stesso vicariato: Mandrio e San Martino, le quali già erano fra loro unite in tal modo, sotto la guida pastorale di don Woiciech Darmetko, polacco. Sicché recentemente il parroco di Mandriolo, don Piergiorgio, il quale pochi anni fa aveva sostituito il fratello don Giancarlo in tale incarico, è stato a sua volta sostituito da don Wojciech. Questi è ora il vicario della più ampia "unità pastorale" costituita dalle Parrocchie di Mandrio, San Martino e Mandriolo.

In the attempt to front such critical situation, our bishop, backed by all the faithful, believed it necessary to include the Mandriolo parish within a larger "pastoral unit" together with two more parishes in the same vicarage, Mandrio and San Martino, already previously joined in a similar way, under the pastoral guidance of father Woiciech Darmetko, from Poland. Consequently the vicar of Mandriolo, father Piergiorgio Nasi, who only a few years ago replaced his brother father Giancarlo in this role, has himself been replaced by father Wojciech, therefore now the vicar of this larger "pastoral unit" made out from the former parishes of Mandriolo, San Martino and Mandrio.

La "Parrocchia della Santissima Annunziata", così è intitolata la Parrocchia di Mandriolo, non ha cessato di esistere come realtà autonoma. Infatti continua ad avere una propria personalità giuridica, un suo territorio, un suo beneficio parrocchiale (proprietà), una sua propria identità. Però, in prospettiva di questa unione, le attività saranno sempre più condivise e compartecipate fra le tre parrocchie "sorelle". I tempi ed i modi di questa "fusione" verranno concordati, decisi ed attuati strada facendo: siamo solo all'inizio. Al momento, dato che i nostri due ex parroci risiedono in parrocchia, Mandriolo continuerà ad avere una sua propria attività liturgica; per il resto, come ho detto, si vedrà. Si è constatato che l'urgenza di una maggiore condivisione riguarda i giovani ed i bambini i quali, più delle altre categorie di parrocchiani, hanno bisogno di riunirsi in gruppi numerosi, per evitare di disperdersi.

Yet, the "Parish of the Holy Annunciation", such is the name of our parish of Mandriolo, has not at fully ceased to exist as an autonomous body. It still keeps its legal entity - juridical personality, its own geographical territory, its own pastoral properties and identity. However, following this "merger", from now on, all activities and initiatives will be more and more shared and participated by the three "sister parishes". The times and ways of such "merger" are to be agreed upon, decided and put into practice along the way in the future; this is just the beginning of the whole thing. At present, as our two former vicars still live in the parish of Mandriolo, this will continue to have its own liturgical life; as for the remaining, as previously said, it will be settled on the way on. The urgency of a larger activity sharing mainly concerns young people and children much more in need to gather in larger groups than any other category of parishioners, to avoid scattering around.

Quelle che le ho descritto sono grandi novità e speriamo, anzi contiamo, con l'aiuto dal cielo, che portino buoni frutti.
